GIMS theoretical course online

The rights are issued by the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (GIMS) under the Ministry of Emergencies after successful certification.

An online course will prepare you for certification in gims and give you the necessary knowledge in order to sail and motor in domestic waters. Our course is suitable for all categories of ships: powerboat, motorboat, jet ski, motor-sailing ship.

The course consists of 12 theoretical lessons . Classes are held online in a video conference format , and we send training materials to your email. You no longer need to go somewhere after work, you can study right at home and from anywhere in the world, you only need a computer or phone with an Internet connection.

12 theory lessons online

On our online course you will receive the necessary knowledge base for managing ships in Russia, learn the rules of navigation and operation of ships, the basics of navigation and meteorology in the navigation area. You will learn the rules for locking, what actions should be taken in case of various breakdowns and difficult situations, as well as how to provide first aid to the injured - and much more.

What about practice?

To pass the practical exam of gims, you need to perform a series of completely elementary maneuvers. Dealing with this is quite simple, but if you still want to practice before certification, these skills can be worked out in Nut. After the theoretical course, we will offer you a lesson on a motor boat for an additional fee.

What and where can I manage?

The rights that you will receive after this course give you the right to manage such categories of vessels: a motor boat, a boat, a jet ski and a sail-motor vessel (these are just our favorite yachts).

You can manage any of them in the following areas:

- inland waterways (GDP)

- inland non-navigable water bodies (VP)

- the territorial sea of Russia (12 nautical miles from the coast) and the internal sea waters of Russia, where the International Rules for the Prevention of Collision of Ships at Sea (MP) - Ladoga, Onega, etc.

Before the start of the course, we will send you all the necessary training materials that are needed for classes. Classes are held online, each group has its own chat for communication between themselves and with the teacher, where the coordinator sends a link for a video conference.

After completing the theoretical course, you will be able to independently pass the state certification in the territorial department of GIMS in Russia: pass the theoretical exam on a computer and pass a practical skills test on water. If you want to open the category of sail, in any case, you must first hand over the rights to the motor vessel, and then ask to open the category of sail. All this happens on certification.

To pass the exam in GIMS, you will need to pay an additional fee of 1300 rubles (this can be done online through the State Service) and provide a list of documents: a copy of your passport, photo and others - we will send you a list of everything you need closer to the exams.
