Relaxing catamaran cruise around Sri Lanka

Program

The diamond of our route is boutique catamaran, a real 5* hotel on the water. Here you will find impeccable service, delicious food and water entertainment for every taste. Cruise around Sri Lanka takes 10 days.

Day 1
Our yacht cruise starts from the town of Mirissa in the south of the island. This is a famous fishing spot: ships and boats come here with their catch. In the last few years, the town has been actively developing as a resort: there are long sandy beaches, sprawling palm trees, and a picturesque ocean.

Day 2 Jungle Beach
By lunchtime we arrive at Jungle Beach. It's time for a good rest! We launch our sap-boards, kayaks, put on our masks and head out to explore the underwater world. On this beach, the ocean is as calm as a gentle kitten, and it's a great place for snorkeling and swimming - one of the best on the south shore. However, there are a lot of rocks, so it is better to take coral slippers.

Day 3 Ambalangoda
Today we have a decent boat crossing - several hours. Along the way we'll give the whales another chance to show themselves to us. Regardless of the results, we're heading for Ambalangoda. It's a port city on the ocean, not as popular as the tourist beaches in the neighborhood. So it's a secluded retreat on the shore away from the boats. Lounge on the beach, go for a swim.

Day 4. Hikkaduwa
Today our catamaran is heading to Hikkaduwa beach. Its tranquil lagoon is home to huge sea turtles. They come here to lay their eggs and just relax in the calm water (just like we do on our yacht cruise!).

Day 5. Fort Galle and Jungle Beach
After breakfast and a swim in the ocean, we return to Jungle Beach. We will depart for the city of Galle. The local 17th century Dutch fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the largest European fort in Asia. Inside, under the protection of ancient walls, there are museums, souvenir and antique shops, jewelry shops, mosque, church, lighthouse, bell tower... You should definitely see it.

Day 6. Mirissa - Yala National Park - Cataragama
Wake up early, have breakfast and a swim before the yacht takes us ashore. We stop by a turtle farm (admission $5) and drive to the town of Tissamaharama (2 hrs). Lunch and go for a walk in Yala National Park.

Day 8. Tea Factory - Nuwara Eliya - Ramboda Falls - Ambuluwawa Tower - Kandy: Folklore Show - Ayurveda Center

Day 9. Kandy City - Royal Botanical Gardens - Spice Garden - Elephant Nursery - Colombo City

Day 10. Colombo city - airport
